Your Winter Light Map
See your winter light, where you live.
Winter changes how much light reaches you each day, and it looks different in every city. Type in yours and you'll see your own sunrise, sunset and daylight for every two weeks from Nov 30 to Feb 21.
Your winter, two weeks at a time
| Week of | Sunrise | Brighter light | Sunset | Daylight |
|---|
"Brighter light" is the stretch of the day when the sun is at least 10° above the horizon. Times are local to the city you chose.
Three ways we'd use these times
Step outside close to sunrise
Even a few minutes outdoors in the first stretch of daylight counts, cloudy days included. It's one of the first rhythms we build with members.
Catch the sunset when you can
In winter it comes early. Look at your sunset time above and see if a minute at a window or on the porch can fit around it.
Let your evenings get dimmer
After sunset, fewer overhead lights and more lamps help your evening feel like evening. Small changes, made one at a time, tend to stick.

Finding Warmth in the Cold
We're teaching a free live session on how to meet winter with your body instead of pushing against it. Since you're on our list, we'll email you the details.
